Mindfulness: Inclusive sitting meditation Group- 2 weekly- (tbc)This is a friendly group aimed at beginners and experienced practitioners. People who are new to meditation can attend the first half-hour which offers structured guided practices with instructions and support.
Traditionally, yoga and meditation were offered for free, gifted by yoga teachers to students and in return students contributed towards the teacher’s upkeep.
This was my yoga/meditation/dharma experience as a student nurse the 80 and early 90s. Some Buddhist centres today still provide classes for donations only.
Our classes are provided by experienced, trained yoga and mindfulness meditation teacher, they are carefully and thoughtfully planned , reviewed and supervised and if we were to cost them at market value, we would cost them at £11 per class.
However, our aim is to build a community and we are committed to be inclusive and we invite a donation of £5 (£2 concessions). All funds go towards the costs. Some free spaces available for those who are struggling financially.
